ABSTRACT
Mama is a horror film that follows the story of Victoria and Lilly, two children left to fend for themselves after their father, Jeffrey, kills his business partners and wife, drives them into the woods, and is killed by a shadowy figure who snaps his neck and tosses the girls a cherry just as he plans to shoot the both of them dead. Discovered by Jeffrey's brother, Lucas, in 2013 after a five-year spell in the wild that leaves them with an animal-like temperament, they embark on a strange and terrifying journey back into the civilized world, marked by allusions to a maternal figure known only as "Mama" that begins to haunt their new caretakers.
