High Plains Drifter (16-Jul-1973)
Director: Clint Eastwood Writer: Ernest Tidyman Music: Dee Barton Producer: Robert Daley Keywords: Western, Revenge A stranger arrives in the town of Lago and almost immediately kills three gunmen. The townsfolk propose he deal with three outlaws, scheduled for release from jail within days, who had killed the town marshal and promise to burn the town. In return he can have anything he wants. The offer is accepted; however both the town and the stranger harbor dark secrets. Eastwood's second film as director, strong in allegory, remains one of the most unique westerns ever produced.
