REVIEWS Review by Felix Santiago (posted on 20-May-2008) Underrated and almost unknown.
Shown on PBS during the 1990s as a Saturday night "special".
The story of the Berlin Airlift and actually filmed in Berlin.
Begins in Hickam AFB, Hawaii, home of a C54 squadron.
Monty looks great and doesn't have that worn down look that he suffered from in later years.
The film shows us that the partitioned Berlin was a center of Cold War intrigue and that the Russians were creeps that couldn't be trusted.
Three cheers for the Red, White and Blue!
